In this blog: As your Fort Smith wedding planner, I've had the chance to work alongside some amazing vendors...Meet Chris Bay of K.C. Treasures & Event Rentals, a Fort Smith-based rental pro known for great communication, crossback chairs, and crowd-pleasers like marquee letters, cold sparks, and a 360 photo booth. I’m sharing what makes his process easy, what to book early (especially for May and October), and my planner tips to help you choose rentals that look amazing and keep your guests having a blast.
If you’ve ever planned a wedding in the River Valley, you already know the rental scramble is real. You book the venue… and then it hits you: you still need chairs, tables, linens, maybe a tent, and a few fun extras that keep your guests talking all night.
That’s why I’m excited to introduce you to K.C. Treasures & Event Rentals... a Fort Smith, Arkansas event rental company owned by Chris Bay and his wife Krystal (that’s the “K” and “C”!). Chris’s whole approach is simple: great customer service, clear communication, and bringing the fun.
K.C. Treasures started in a way I hear often in the wedding world: Chris had an experience with bad customer service while trying to rent bounce houses for his kids, and decided, “I can do better.” Honestly? I love that energy.
What began as a small bounce house company quickly grew into something bigger. Chris saw a need in our area for a rental company that could expand beyond inflatables and become more of a one-stop shop for weddings and events in Fort Smith and the River Valley.
Today, K.C. Treasures supports a wide range of events... weddings, birthday parties, corporate family fun days, church events, and community events... with inventory that keeps growing because they’re constantly reinvesting into the business.
If you want guest experience and content for your camera roll, this is where K.C. Treasures shines.
Chris’s favorite statement piece is their 360 photo booth, because it’s interactive and keeps people engaged all night. And here’s the difference-maker: Chris doesn’t just drop it off and disappear, he focuses on the experience. He’ll coach guests, keep it fun, and help people feel less awkward on camera (because yes… it can be awkward if nobody’s guiding it).
Pricing shared in our chat:
360 Photo Booth: $300 for the first hour, then $150 each additional hour (includes lights, music, and an attendant)
Also: he told me he can fit a whole bridal party on it. So if you’ve got a crew that’s ready to commit to the bit, you’re going to love this.

Chris said their crossback chairs are a top wedding rental because not many other companies in the Fort Smith / River Valley area have them and couples love that elevated, timeless look.
Translation: if you want that “this looks like a Pinterest wedding but still feels like us” vibe, crossbacks are a solid move.
Chris actually builds the marquee letters (which is impressive if you’ve ever seen the flimsy DIY kits that fall apart the second you try to transport them). These are a great way to create a focal point for photos, especially behind the sweetheart table or near the dance floor.
Planner note: the shorter the name, the happier your wallet. (Kidding. Mostly.)
Want a “wow” moment without fireworks? Chris mentioned their cold spark machines as a high-impact rental.
Pricing shared:
Cold spark machines: $200 for both
For reference: I’ve seen pricing in Northwest Arkansas that’s closer to $200 for one. So yes, this is a great bang-for-your-buck add-on.

Chris has invested in tents (including those classic high-peak styles) and recently added a dance floor—and if you’ve planned weddings, you know a dance floor is always a good idea.
They also offer event staples like tables, chairs, plates, and more, plus fun add-ons like a margarita machine (which, in my opinion, is information everyone deserves to have).
Chris described their inventory as leaning rustic (especially with the crossback chairs), but the overall vibe is really “mix-and-match” depending on what you want.
They’re focused more on event rental items than full décor styling (Chris doesn’t have a showroom, he joked it’s basically a “big storage unit”), but what I like is that they’re building inventory based on what couples actually ask for.
If you’re a couple who likes to click, book, and move on with your life here's the good news: quotes and bookings can be done online through their website. But if you’ve never rented before (or you’re planning a bigger event), Chris also offers a free consultation and walks you through a checklist so you don’t forget the basics.
Here’s what to know up front:
Book early for peak season. Chris said May and October are their busiest months. (October? Don’t even think about waiting.)
To reserve items: 25% deposit + signed contract.
Bundling discount: around 10% off when you rent multiple items.
Delivery & Pickup: YES, they do! They are based out of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and they’ll travel (Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Little Rock, and beyond) depending on delivery mileage.
Venue logistics matter: stairs, elevators, loading access, and time windows are all helpful to know ahead of time.
Last-minute changes happen: Chris said they’re very flexible and even take last-minute orders when inventory and timing allow.
Chris said the biggest rental headaches usually come from couples not having a plan. AKA no layout, no floor plan, no clear vision of where things go.
My best advice: even a simple floor plan and a point person who can make quick decisions will save you so much time (and so many “where do you want these chairs?” moments).
Here’s what I appreciate most about working with rental companies like K.C. Treasures: Chris is big on communication.
He shared that they follow up a few days before events to confirm delivery timing and details, and that kind of proactive check-in is gold especially when you’re juggling a venue timeline, vendor arrivals, and a weather plan.
And I’ll be honest: rentals are one of those things that can feel simple until you’re standing in an empty space thinking, “Okay… where do we actually want everything to go?” Chris mentioned that one of the biggest challenges is when clients don’t have a clear plan or layout.
That’s exactly why I’m always cheering for a basic floor plan and a point person who can make quick decisions.
If you’re the kind of couple who wants your guests to have a great time (and not just a pretty setup), I also love that Chris focuses on experience, like with his interactive rentals like the 360 photo booth.
It’s not just a piece of equipment sitting in the corner. He makes it fun.
“We rented tent tables and chairs from K.C Treasures for our Daughter's wedding reception K.C's was very professional even set up day earlier than I was told. Sent me picture though the whole set up to make sure I was happy with how it looked. Easy people to deal with will rent again” — Brad Ringgold, May 2026
“We rented the popcorn machine with candy dispensers for a wedding. The machine was easy to use and was a hit with all the guests, especially the kids. Delivery was on-time and no setup from myself was required. I would highly recommend using K.C. Treasures for all party renting needs!”— Alichia Cox, April 2026
“Great chairs, easy pickup, and very communicative! These guys were awesome to work with and willing to flex with the odd pickup/drop-off schedule to make our wedding week as stress free as possible” — Shane Dirks, March 2026
